(\u1e62a\u1e25\u012b\u1e25 al-Bukh\u0101r\u012b 5659) You can now register to sponsor an orphan from\u00a0Pakistan, Rohingya, Syria and Morocco.\u00a0May Allah give you all the [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":23,"menu_order":5,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"off","_et_pb_old_content":"<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On almost daily basis, Al-Madinah Center receives donations under the Zakat category.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many wonder how Zakat is distributed at Al-Madinah Center?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/almadinah-center.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/3.jpg\"><img class=\" wp-image-1506 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/almadinah-center.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/3-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"502\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[button link=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfKTt2D6vqqcPK4wq3t-gfQ4BdvGG089k5e5sc9D59ZXyxvrQ\/viewform\" color=\"green\" newwindow=\"yes\"] Apply to request Zakat for a needy person[\/button] <\/span>\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How should Zakat be distributed in Islam?<\/span><\/h1>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, the ways of distributed the Zakat are ruled by the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH).<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The categories persons eligible to benefit from the Zaka are indicated in Surah 9 (Attawbah) verse 60<\/span>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The poor (al-fuqar\u00e2'), meaning low-income or indigent.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The needy (al-mas\u00e2k\u00een), meaning someone who is in difficulty.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zakat administrators.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those whose hearts are to be reconciled, meaning new Muslims and friends of the Muslim community.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those in bondage (slaves and captives.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The debt-ridden.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the cause of God.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The wayfarer, meaning those who are stranded or traveling with few resources.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, here are some conditions that need to be respected when distributing the Zakat<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zakat cannot be given or used for the construction of a masjid, madrassah, hospital, a well, a bridge or any other public amenity.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poor students can be given a bursary from Zakat.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If an agent is given Zakat for distribution, and he does not distribute it, then the Zakat will not be regarded as fulfilled, and the sin of not discharging the obligatory duty of Zakat will remain a burden on whom it was obligatory.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is preferred that the Zakat is distributed locally in the same country where it was collected.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How Zakat is distributed at Al-Madinah Center?<\/span><\/h1>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Al-Madinah Center, we receive many requests to benefit from the collected Zakat. However, not all the requests might be valid or fall in the eight categories mentioned above.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, we recently created a standardized way to distribute the Zakat to the received requests.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We first collect some details about the person requesting the Zakat. These details involve immigration status, social status, number of children, amount and source of income, special health condition, ...<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, we rank the requests by priority and emergency and remove the non-valid request.
