Ramadan 2019: Iftar, Souhour, Zakat ul-Fitr, Sadaqa, Fidyah

For the ninth year in a row, Al-Madinah Center / As-Salam Mosque are offering the Ramadan iftar. Praise be to Allah who facilitate to us to be able to provide this service for our great community.

One can sponsor one full day, participate in sponsoring a day or offer few meals a day. Allah is the only one who rewards so do not hesitate to give even part of a meal. One meal costs $6 – $6.5 depending on ingredients. One full iftar sponsorship costs $1000 on average.

This year, we are offering:

  1. 200 – 250 meals daily at Al-Madinah Center
  2. 25-50 meals daily at As-Salam Mosque
  3. Support other mosques and MSAs in Montreal

Ramadan Iftar 2018 Facts

Praise be to Allah, last year we were able to offer Iftar for all 30 days at (more than 6,500 meals for Iftar and 1500 meals for souhour):

  1. Al-Madinah Center
  2. As-Salam Mosque
  3. Al-Andalus Mosque
  4. Aisha mosque (some days)
  5. MSA Concordia (some days)
  6. Khadija Mosque
  7. Sister Sabria Foundation

In addition, we helped other organizations offering their iftar casually:

  • We hosted Sr Sabria for 4 days every week (we partially sponsored her Iftar by subsidizing the space, utilities and food cost)
  • We helped MSA Concordia offering their iftar for 4 days (full sponsorship)
  • We helped other mosques partially with their Iftar.
  • We distributed 800 kg of dates

Ramadan Iftar 2017 Facts

Praise be to Allah, last year we were able to offer Iftar for all 30 days at (more than 5,000 meals):

  1. Al-Madinah Center
  2. As-Salam Mosque
  3. Khadijah Mosque
  4. Aisha mosque (some days)

In addition, we helped other organizations offering their iftar casually (approximately 1000 meals):

  • We helped Sr Sabria offering her iftar for 3 days (we fully sponsored them)
  • We helped MSA Concordia offering their iftar for 4 days (full sponsorship)
  • We helped other mosques partially with their Iftar.
  • We distributed 1000 kg of dates
