Our whole operation depends on volunteers so far and it has been beyond outstanding
With the grace of Allah, the Muslim community in downtown Montreal is growing fast. Al-Madinah Center is supporting this community and helping to make it active and beneficial to the rest of our society.
Warm thanks to our great volunteer brothers and sisters who are proactively working, often silently, to take care of daily chores and creating new areas in which volunteers can participate. By the blessing of Allah then due to the sincere contribution of our volunteers, Al-Madinah Center is able to be a strong pillar that our community can refer to in times of need.
In order to maintain this growth and stability we need to keep recruiting committed volunteers. They ensure that the center continues to meet its objectives and can fulfil the needs of the community.
Our volunteers gain a rich experience that is essential for their careers. We do also offer them testimonials on their hard work whenever a referral is needed. Anyone who commits more than 40 hours of volunteer time is considered a long term volunteer, and they can ask for a reference letter anytime it is required.
There is an official recruitment process to make sure that volunteers will have the necessary skills and competence to be able to complete their tasks effectively.
Volunteers must look at this as an opportunity to enhance their careers and not only as leisure time even though, it is a lot of fun!
