Al Madinah recreational committee is pleased to announce and invite you to participate in the first Ping-Pong tournament that would be taking place during the month of Ramadan 2023. This tournament is part of the recreational program at Al-Madinah Islamic Center.
Registration requirements and Rules:
– Registration Fee : 10 dollars*
– Age : 15 and above (male).
– The registration deadline is Friday, March 24.
– All games will be played on the weekend.
– On Sunday, March 26 a general meeting for participants will be held at Al-Madinah Center between 5:30 – 6:30 pm to draw players into groups.
– All games will be played at Al-Madinah Center (1260 Rue Mackay, downtown Montreal).
Games Layout:
– Brothers in each group play a first round robin (each one plays all opponents in the group)
– A point is awarded for winning, nothing for losing. (there are no draws in ping pong)
– The players with the highest points will advance to the play-off round.
– Matches will be 21 points.
– The serve is switched every 5 points.
* The registration fees will cover the costs of ping pong table and the related equipment for the tournament, which will later be used as an endowment for Al-Madinah Islamic Center.
