Ramadan 2024: Iftar, Souhour, Food Basket, Zakat-Ul-Fitr, Fidyah and Kaffarah

Ramadan Moubarak. May Allah accept your fasting. We have an interesting program for Ramadan. Please check the program at the Ramadan General Page. Offering Ramadan iftar to a fasting person will double the reward of the one offering the meal without decreasing the reward of the recipient at all. Do not miss this opportunity!

This year, we are again offering daily meals at the center. We will be distributing meals for take away also 250-300 iftar meals will be served daily. We share some iftar meals with families in need in Montreal and surroundings.

To sponsor the iftar fully or partially, here are the details:
One meal: $10 | 10 meals: $100 | 50 meals: $450
100 meals: $800 | Full day: $2400

More than 5500 meals were offered in Ramadan 2021 although we had COVID restrictions. May Allah reward all donors for their contributions.

Ramadan Iftar 2020 Facts

Although COVID-19 limited our activities, Al-Madinah Center was able to maintain its Ramadan iftar during 2020. We had distributed meals for take out for the whole month.
This year, we delivered to some eldrery houses who were locked in because of the pandemic.

  1. Al-Madinah Center: 4000 meals
  2. As-Salam Mosque: 1200 meals

Ramadan Iftar 2019 Facts

Praise be to Allah, last year we were able to offer Iftar for all 30 days at (more than 6,000 meals for Iftar and 1500 meals for souhour):

  1. Al-Madinah Center
  2. As-Salam Mosque
  3. Aisha mosque (some days)
  4. MSA Concordia (some days)
  5. Sister Sabria Foundation (2 days only)

In addition, we helped other organizations offering their iftar casually:

  • We hosted Sr Sabria for 2 days at the beginning of Ramadan (we partially sponsored her Iftar by subsidizing the space, utilities and food cost)
  • We helped MSA Concordia offering their iftar and shared dates with them
  • We helped other mosques partially with their Iftar.
  • We distributed 900 kg of dates

Ramadan Iftar 2018 Facts

Praise be to Allah, last year we were able to offer Iftar for all 30 days at (more than 6,500 meals for Iftar and 1500 meals for souhour):

  1. Al-Madinah Center

  3. Al-Andalus Mosque
  4. Aisha mosque (some days)
  5. MSA Concordia (some days)
  6. Khadija Mosque
  7. Sister Sabria Foundation
