At Al-Madinah Center in Montreal, we are proud to host a vibrant and welcoming Seniors Program with the generous support of the Federal Government’s New Horizons for Seniors initiative.

Every Sunday (1:30 PM), more than 25 seniors gather weekly to connect, learn, and stay active in a warm community setting. The program offers a variety of activities designed to enrich the lives of our seniors while fostering meaningful engagement with each other and the wider community.
Weekly Activities
- Social Gatherings: Friendly conversations, relaxation, and community bonding.
- Recreational Outings: Walks, tours around Montreal, and even cruises.
- Wellness & Sports: Light physical activities that encourage healthy aging.
- Lifelong Learning: Practical workshops on financial literacy, safe online purchasing, and digital protection.
- Intergenerational Exchange: Opportunities for seniors to share wisdom and skills with younger community members.
Monthly Workshops
Once a month, seniors themselves take the lead in organizing workshops and inviting guest speakers to present on topics of interest. This ensures the program is truly by seniors, for seniors.
